ENPREPRISES PHARES

THE ARTIST

Milène Guermont, born in 1981, occupies an unusual place at the intersection of art and innovation.

Her polysensual artworks weigh up to several tons.

She has had solo shows in Nuit Blanche Paris, Art Basel Miami, City Hall of Paris 8th, Caja Galeria in Mexico, Children’s Museum in Paris and at the National Archives of France.

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Normandy Landings, she was commissioned to do INSTANTS (a sculpture installed at Utah Beach since June 2014) and FREE-PLANETS that were offered to top figures throughout the world.

In 2015, her art was exhibited at the Museum of Nature in Paris and at the Foundation Villa Datris, she had a solo video show at the Fine Arts Museum of Caen and her art the "coup de coeur" of the drawing art fair DDessin.

In 2016, her exhibitions were at the Parisian Mineralogy Museum (solo show), at the fair ART PARIS by the Ermitage Foundation and at the Passager Museum; she created the artwork A BEAT on the Eiffel Tower, the Montparnasse Tower and PHARES, and one of her sculptures, CAUSSE, made of high-performance concrete is installed permanently on a Parisian classified site.

In 2017, Milene has been selected to represent the French engineers at the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO), UNESCO's partner. Her sculpture made of Polysensual Concrete, MINI AGUA, was the artwork shown at the French Pavilion of the International Exhibition ASTANA 2017. She won in Brussels the artprize of Nova XX, international competition of women artists who use hi-tech.

In 2018, she has solo shows at Trinity House, at Westminster, at JS-Pathé Foundation, at the Town Hall of the 13th district of Paris, at UNESCO, on the Seine River next to Musée d'Orsay, ... She is 1 of the 3 "Entrepreneurial Women of the Year" of Usine Nouvelle, 1 of the 8 speakers on "Women's Achievements and Professional Attainments" at the international symposium Momowo in Turin and becomes Honorary Fellow of Queen Mary.

In 2019, she belongs to the French Delegation - she is the youngest and the only one artist - of the GSW that occurs in Basel. Her artwork BALANCE made of concrete and light is installed at Cimetière du Père Lachaise forever. She receives the PEACE HERO AWARD from the Peace Institute and five museums throughout the world.

In 2020, Milene is a laureate of Vox Femina - Notable Women, recongnized as an expert in tactility and emotional luxury. She federates 80 companies and "maisons" of French excellency (interview) to create a total artwork in downtown Paris.

Thanks to her education both as an artist (ENSAD) and as an engineer (ENSIACET - MINES - BROWN University), Milène connects innovations (several patents pending) with the power of the poetic imagination.
